Yet another image from a trip to the Botanical Gardens in Dublin. This is a macro image of inside of a Tulipa praestans ‘Unicum or tulip to most if us. Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II Lens: Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Exposure: 1/50 Aperture: f/4 Focal Length: 100mm
This is another image from the back catalog, this time from a visit to the Botanical Gardens in March 2009. One thing I love about photographing flowers in the botanical gardens is that they will always display their names so I can do a little research when I get home.
Still experimenting with the 70-200 at f/2.8 and I continue to be amazed by the quality of this lens wide-open. I am also just loving the bokeh Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II Lens: Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM Exposure: 1/640 Aperture: f/2.8 Focal Length: 173mm ISO Speed: 100
I am constantly fascinated by the designs found in nature and this flower is just one example of that. The soft purplish design, it’s almost as if someone spilled ink down the delicate white petals. © John Dunne 2007 ~ 2012 All Rights Reserved
