Firstly a little discussion on the prints, and sizes offered. I offer 5 sizes, namely Companion, Artist, Studio, Gallery and Master. Each and every print is matted and is sized so that it will fit straight into an off-the-shelf frame (apart from Panoramic Prints), or you can choose to purchase a framed print ready to hang on your wall. The sizes shown in the table on the right detail the final matted size of the print and I also shown the print size using the longest edge for guidance.

As mentioned earlier not only do I take great pride in the photographic pieces I create, I take equal care and pride in the final Print. From Paper, Printer and Ink selection, to Matting and Framing materials, everything is done with the sole purpose of ensuring my artwork is displayed at its best. Every component used has been carefully selected for is archival qualities to ensure maximum Print longevity. Every Print is personally inspected and signed me. I personally Matte and Frame every single print and only when I am 100% satisfied do I carefully package it and ship it to you. Yes; I am obsessive about the quality of the final piece that arrives in the hands of my customers. Call me crazy but your satisfaction is really important.

I work closely with a local Fine Art Printer here in Dublin who has over 20 years of experience serving the printing needs of the Fine Art Photographic Industry. We choose from only the finest Hahnemühle or Canson Infinity papers and select the best paper finish for each individual Print. Every Print is produced on state of the art Epson Inkjet Printers using only original Epson inks. The combination of light fast pigment inks and heavy-weight (285~325gsm ) fine art, archival papers ensure that the Print will provide lasting enjoyment and pleasure for decades to come. Each Print is personally inspected and signed by me prior to shipment.

I use Daler Rowney White Core mount board for both the Matte and under-mount. I’ve selected their “Snow White” finish, which has a clean white, slightly textured finish that adds a real dimensionality to my Prints. Each board is lignin-free, alkaline-sized, pH neutral and is calcium carbonate buffered to enhance its useful lifespan by minimising the effect of atmospheric pollutants. In addition I use archival quality acid free mounting tapes and fixtures to mount my Prints to the mounts. In fact my mounting process ensures no adhesives touch the Print itself, again maximising print longevity. Each Matte is also signed. I personally Matte every Print to ensure the highest quality is maintained throughout the production of your order. You can find out more about how I Matte my Prints in this Blog Article

I have selected a solid wood Frame that has a wonderful subtle wood grain texture. Each Frame is finished in a mid-brown colour. I made a very conscious decision to chose a natural wood finish rather then a more traditional black finish used in the Fine Art Photographic world as I felt it was a better fit for both classic and contemporary home décor. When offered a chose the vast majority of my customers always select a natural wood finish. Each Frame uses industry standard 2mm Optical Glass and backboard. The back of each Frame is finished in a brown kraft paper, with piano wire hangers and cork bumpers to add the final professional touch. I personally Frame every print to ensure the highest quality is maintained throughout the production of your order.

While the Printing, Matting and Framing of a Fine Art print is critically important so is the way it is packaged. I ship prints all over the world and I apply the same level of care and attention to detail to ensure every print arrives to you in perfect condition.
Every Matted Print is slipped into a clear plastic protective bag, and is then sandwiched between 2 rigid pieces of cardboard (4 for the larger sizes). The protective bag is taped to the centre of one of the cardboard sheets to ensure it does not move around while in transit. The sheets are at least 2 inches bigger then the Print all around. I then use corner protectors to provide additional protection and the package is taped around the edges using a heavy duty clear tape. Finally I add my own custom shipping warning labels to ensure the postman or courier knows to handle with care, not to bend or get the package wet. This approach ensures the safety of the package during transit, and that it arrives to you in pristine condition.
For a Framed Print I follow a similar approach by sandwiching the Frame between two pieces of rigid card board at least 2 inches bigger then the Frame all around. The space between the cardboard and the frame is filled with a bio-degradable void fill to protect the frame, and then taped using heavy duty clear tape. This package is then placed inside a box which is again at least two inches larger then the package all the way around. The box is filled with the same bio-degradable void fill. Finally I add my own custom shipping warning labels to ensure the postman or courier knows the package is fragile and contains glass, and therefore should not be dropped or get wet. This double-boxing ensures the safety of the package during transit, and that it arrives to you in pristine condition.
Call me crazy but this stuff is important to me!
