Well we are just 3 sleeps before Santa arrives and I wanted to take a moment to stop and thank all of you for your support throughout the year. From a world view it has been a year of turmoil with economic downturn and recession across much of the world. But enough about that for this year! Christmas is a time of celebration, a time to put away the worries at least for a short while. If nothing else, I see that the current economic crisis has forced us to return to what is most important this holiday period; our family and friends. And for that I am very grateful.
A great many of you decided to grace your walls with my art this year and for that I am both humbled and thankful. For some of you you have only received your pieces in the last couple of days; taking the opportunity of the sale, and I do hope they bring you a great deal of pleasure over the years to come.
And thank you also to all of you that have chosen to be my companions during my photographic journey of 2011. Whether it was via this blog or my many interactions via social media such as Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, 500px and most recently Google+. I very much appreciate your ongoing support and words of encouragement.
So to one and all I wish you a very Happy Holiday Season, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Winter Solstice or just plan to spend time with your family and friends.
So plans for the blog before we close out the year? Well it will be quiet around here for the next week or so but I plan to publish two more posts before December 2011. The 1st being a “year in review” post outlining the evolution of my photography and website. It won’t go into quite as much detail as my 2010 in Numbers post from last year but will pick up the thread and refresh it for 2011. The 2nd post planned and definitely my favourite of the year is my Personal Top 10 Images of 2011. This will be the 4th year I have produced this and while it is alway extremely difficult it is immensely satisfying.
Oh by the way just a quick reminder there is only 2 days left in my annual print sale for the 2011 Holiday Season where you can save 15% on any order.
