As I mentioned in my post last week I had an 11 hour photographic marathon a couple of saturdays ago which started with sunrise at Trim Castle in County Meath. As is often the case in Ireland the sunrise did not go exactly according to plan with heavy cloud cover swooping in just as the sun peaked above the horizon. However that did not dampen my spirits and I wandered around the castle enjoying the ‘Golden Hour‘ just after dawn. Thankfully the clouds disipated due to a fairly strong wind and we got some nice blue sky’s for a short while. This image is taken looking on to the ruined curtain wall which is still surrounded today by the original moat. The Castle itself dates back to the 11th century.
