Well it appears as if March is the month of the Purple Crocus, atleast according to this blog. This is the 3rd (here & here) image I have posted and I have in fact published 5 to my portfolio. I mentioned earlier that these flowers, along with Tulips mark the beginning of Spring for me.
This image was taken not in the botanical gardens as the previous images were but in Mount Usher Gardens in Wicklow. If there could be a polar opposite of the manicured gardens in Powerscourt, Mount Usher Gardens would be it. They are an almost wild and unkempt serious of spaces that can only be described as gardens in its loosest form. However that’s not to take away from them as it is this wilderness that provides them with their own charm.
