One from the Archives | Lush – Wicklow, Ireland

Another image I’ve pulled up from the archives, this dates back to August 2008 and my trusty old 40D and Sigma lens. The image is taken at a waterfall in Wicklow and is one of my early experiences of using Neutral Density filters with water.

Great capture and location. Would love to go shooting a place like this myself again.

Even though it’s somehow a cliché, I totally love to photograph waterfalls and similar location. Always has something mystical about.

Thanks Sven. Waterfalls are still one thing I will go out of my way to capture. There are so few truly big waterfalls in Ireland unfortunately.

Not so many around here either. The next real waterfall (one where water really falls down) is about 3 hours from here. Then there are a few more in the north, about 9-10hrs.

Not really in the reach to photograph before or after work.

And I see, you switched over to Disqus? How is that doing for you? Used to have it on a previous blog of mine. Which would be a while ago already.

          I don’t feel so bad now :-)

I just installed Disqus this morning so a bit too early to pass judgement. On-site comments aren’t too important to me right now but capturing what’s happening on the wider social networks is. I tried the Trackbacks plugin for IntenseDebate but that didn’t work. I then came across a WordPress Plugin called ChatCatcher which worked great for about two weeks and then stopped. So I am now trying Disqus as it incorporates BackType, although it has found zero activity so far even though BackType does. I’ll give it some time and see what happens.

I see. Similar things did happen to me also back then. The Backtype comments usually took some time though.

And it’s good that you don’t feel bad ;-)
